Privacy Policy

We aim to collect as little data as possible when providing Beacon. Most of the data we collect comes directly from your interactions with the service. We do not employ tracking or retargeting software.

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information from Google (if you sign in with Google).

Contact Data
Beacon stores the contacts you add, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and any notes or tags you create. This data is yours—we're just holding it for you.

Interaction History
We log interactions you record (emails, meetings, notes) to help you track your relationship history.

Gmail Integration
If you enable Gmail sync, we access your email metadata (sender, recipient, date, subject) to automatically log interactions. We do not read email content unless you explicitly save it as a note.

Usage Data
We collect basic analytics to improve Beacon, including pages visited and features used. We use privacy-friendly analytics (no cookies, no cross-site tracking).

• To provide and improve Beacon's features
• To sync with Google services you've authorized
• To send important service updates (you can opt out of marketing emails)
• To respond to support requests
• To detect and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers (hosting, analytics) who help us operate Beacon
• Google when you authorize Gmail/Calendar sync
• Stripe when you make payments (for Coach Hub features)

All service providers are bound by data processing agreements.

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Your data is hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security.

However, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication.

You can:
- Access your data via your Beacon dashboard
- Export your contacts and interaction history
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Modify any information in your profile

GDPR/UK GDPR: If you're in the EEA or UK, you have additional rights including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

CCPA: If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what data we collect and request deletion. We do not sell personal information.

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
